The Rotary Club of Charlottetown Royalty, together with the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Foundation, has started planning for the 15th Annual ‘Great Day’ Fore Health ~ Harry MacLauchlan Memorial Golf Tournament. This year’s tournament will take place on Wednesday, June 13, 2018 at the Belvedere Golf Club.

The 2017 tournament raised a record amount of over $64,000 and reached a significant milestone of $600,000 in cumulative giving to the QEH Foundation!

Registration Details:

  • $1,600 registration fee for a team of four (maximum 36 teams)
  • Light Lunch
  • Texas Scramble / Shotgun Start at 1:00 PM
  • Charitable receipt for a portion of fee
  • Complimentary use of driving range
  • Complimentary beverages during play
  • Awards dinner
  • Complimentary good feelings all year long for supporting the QEH and health of all Islanders

QEH Equipment Spotlight:

Dr. Mohamed Abouelhassan, Head of Clinical Chemistry at QEH, describes the Mass Spectrometer as “the gold-standard technology in drug testing.” The implementation of this device would give the QEH the ability to annually administer not only the 250 top-priority samples that are currently sent off Island, but an additional 15,000 samples. It will allow for a 24-hour turnaround on test results, which is crucial for doctor’s to be able to properly treat patients.
