Faces of the QEH – Bill Hogg

“As we age, health care becomes increasingly important”

Bill Hogg has been a monthly donor of the QEH Foundation since 2012. As with the majority of Islanders, he and his family have visited the QEH at some point. “Loved ones facing health challenges in both Heather and my families over the years required us to visit the hospital for a wide variety of services and tests.”

Bill chose to give back to the QEH as he has always been impressed with the quality of care he receives, as well as the caliber of the equipment that is in place. He understands that it is only through community support that essentially all ongoing annual medical equipment is purchased for the Island’s main referral hospital. “As we age, health care becomes increasingly important and I appreciate the hospital, its staff, and all the services it provides me and my family.”

There are many ways to donate to support the purchase of equipment for the hospital; for Bill, monthly giving is the way to go. “I absolutely love having my gift automatically withdrawn from my bank account each month, it is so easy and painless. For me to come up with a lump sum at the end of the year would be much more difficult.”

“I know my gifts go to good use and ultimately help families across the Island. I encourage everybody to continue their giving. And if you’re not already a donor, there’s no better time than the present.”

With monthly giving to the QEH, your donation is spread out over a period of time. You chose the amount you want to give and your donations are automatically withdrawn from your bank account or charged to your credit card once a month.
