Feel how great payday can really be!

Each payday I feel proud knowing I have had an impact on the health of Islanders like Gary Rayner. Thanks to the generosity of donors to our own QEH Foundation, the equipment needed to care for Gary was here when it was needed. Look around your own department and you too will see equipment purchased and made possible by donors to the QEH Foundation, many of whom are our fellow colleagues.

Five years ago I signed up to make charitable donations through payroll deductions and I’m proud those bi-weekly donations, combined with other staff donations, add up to a significant gift each year. Last year more than 280 staff made the same payday commitment that resulted in a $52,000 donation to the Foundation for medical equipment priorities.

Gifts of ALL sizes have added up to make a huge impact at our Island’s main referral hospital. You will find the Staff of Queen Elizabeth Hospital listed with pride at the Gold Level on the donor wall located in the lobby.

Giving is easy!

  • Fill out the form below and drop it off at the QEH Foundation office in the hospital lobby.
  • Your pre-authorized donation is deducted automatically from your bi-weekly pay.
  • It’s a convenient way to make a charitable gift. Your charitable contributions for the full calendar year will appear on your T4.
  • It’s flexible. You can adjust your donation at any time.

When you give through the iDonate QEH Staff Giving Campaign, you will receive an iDonate pin to wear – patients and donors will see that you support your hospital too! AND, as an extra incentive, sign up by December 20 and you will be entered into the draw for the designated parking space in the staff parking lot, featuring your name for an entire year. The draw will take place on December 22.

Please join me in giving through payroll deduction – Feel how great payday can really be!
